Process.
This collective group of design-oriented minds from around the world, IIDA, encourages community, engagement, access, validity, and validation to find value in the work we do and the people we interact with. When considering how to portray this message as well as opportunity in the design of a booth, I started by finding other elements that also invoke dramatic change but on a subtler level. The three elements I landed on were light, nature, and origami.
Each of these can take something seemingly ordinary and entirely change it based on their presence. This is similar, if not the same, as IIDA's impact on designers. This similarity became the driving force behind my design.

Final.
Just as IIDA can spark a transformation of our design life, forces such as light, nature, and origami can transform seemingly mundane elements into inspiring, powerful messages. Half the battle of a booth in the midst of a tradeshow is getting visitors in to see what is happening; the other half is keeping them there to enjoy the respite and educational experience. These transformative elements offer the ability to do both as well as showcase IIDA’s ability to transform design and designers.
